Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive.
I’ve been listening to Linda Ronstadt sing Too Old to Die Young, and crying over the line, “I have had some real good friends I thought would never die. But all I have that’s left of them, is these tear drops in my eye. Nin’s quote helps me dry my eyes and smile again. For the world my friends birthed in me is alive still, and touching others. What an inspiration to continue loving family and friends, to continue making friends, and birthing worlds in them. In turn, they will ensure new worlds are born in their friends, and we all will enjoy eternal life.
